Job summary

Syensqo SA is seeking a Global Trade Domains Specialist to translate complex trade requirements into practical solutions for our businesses worldwide. You will work in a hybrid setup based in Lisbon, collaborating across Global Trade, GBUs and Finance to ensure compliant cross-border operations.

The role requires a strong background in Customs, Origin rules and valuation, plus excellent analytical and communicative abilities in English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field.
• Experience in Customs, Global Trade or Trade Compliance.
• Knowledge of Customs Classification, Non-Preferential Origin, Preferential Origin and Customs Valuation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong collaboration and communication in a global environment.
• Proficient English; other languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform Customs Classification of products with accuracy and consistency.
• Assess Non-Preferential Country of Origin and supporting documentation.
• Assess Preferential Origin and FTAs, eligibility for benefits.
• Support Customs Valuation with Finance and stakeholders.
• Monitor tariff changes and potential impacts on Syensqo.
• Manage Global Trade data and documentation for requests.
• Contribute to Global Trade guidelines and controls.
• Provide training and guidance to stakeholders.
• Lead or contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
