InnoWave in Lisbon is seeking an AI Engineer with a strong backend focus to join our dynamic, agile team. You will design, develop and maintain scalable backend services and cloud-based solutions, translating business needs into robust software.

You'll work with relational and non-relational databases, implement CI/CD pipelines, and collaborate across disciplines while staying current with AI technologies to enhance products.

Qualificações

• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or similar technical areas.
• 3-4 years of professional experience in Software Engineering, Backend Development or a related field.
• Strong hands-on Backend Software Engineering experience.
• Good understanding of Software Architecture and Design principles.
• Experience with Cloud technologies and environments.
• Experience developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines. Strong understanding of databases and data modelling.
• Good knowledge of software development best practices, coding standards and version control.
• Experience working in Agile environments.
• Familiarity with Jira and Confluence.
• Experience or interest in using AI-powered coding agents and modern AI-assisted development tools.
• Curious mindset and willingness to learn and explore new technologies.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Fluent in English - written and spoken (mandatory).

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop and maintain scalable and reliable backend solutions, following software engineering and architecture best practices.
• Translate business and technical requirements into robust and maintainable software solutions.
• Develop backend services and applications using modern software engineering practices.
• Design and implement solutions in Cloud environments, ensuring scalability, reliability and security.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and contribute to automation across the software development lifecycle.
• Work with relational and non-relational databases, data models and data-driven applications.
• Collaborate with Software Engineers, Architects, Business Analysts and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Use modern development tools, including AI-powered coding agents, to improve productivity, code quality and development workflows.
• Contribute to technical design, architecture decisions and continuous improvement of engineering practices.
• Stay up to date with emerging AI technologies and identify opportunities to integrate AI capabilities into software solutions.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and ensure the reliability, maintainability and performance of applications.
• Document technical solutions, architectures and development processes.
• Work in an Agile environment, using tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
