Fyld is seeking a skilled Linux Systems Administrator to manage and optimize Linux environments across production. You will implement automation with Ansible, monitor performance, and ensure security and reliability while collaborating in an Agile team.

Ideal candidates hold a degree in a related field, 4+ years of experience, and are fluent in Portuguese and English to support diverse projects in Portugal.

Qualificações

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or related field.
• 4+ years of professional Linux admin experience.
• Strong Linux administration, configuration, and maintenance.
• Hands-on with Red Hat, Ubuntu, Debian or similar distros.
• Strong command line and Bash scripting skills.
• Experience with monitoring, troubleshooting and performance tuning.
• Good networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SSH).
• Experience with Apache or Nginx web servers.
• Knowledge of storage, permissions, users, access management.
• Security hardening: SELinux/AppArmor, firewall configuration.
• Backup, recovery, and maintenance procedures.
• Logging/monitoring tools knowledge; Ansible for automation.
• Ability to resolve incidents and improve HA/reliability.
• Documentation of procedures; agile collaboration.
• Fluency in Portuguese and English.

We're looking for an experienced Linux Systems Administrator with strong infrastructure skills and hands-on experience managing Linux environments.

Your Profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
• Minimum of 4 years of professional experience as a Linux Systems Administrator or in a similar role
• Strong experience in the administration, configuration and maintenance of Linux systems
• Hands-on experience with Red Hat, Ubuntu, Debian or similar Linux distributions
• Strong knowledge of Linux command line and Bash scripting
• Experience with system monitoring, troubleshooting and performance optimisation
• Good knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and SSH
• Experience administering web servers, such as Apache or Nginx
• Good understanding of storage, filesystems, permissions, users and access management
• Experience implementing Linux security and hardening practices, including SELinux, AppArmor and firewall configuration
• Experience with backup, recovery and system maintenance procedures
• Knowledge of system logging and monitoring tools
• Experience with automation and configuration management, preferably using Ansible
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and production incidents
• Good understanding of high availability and system reliability concepts
• Ability to document technical procedures and follow infrastructure best practices
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively in collaborative and Agile environments
• Fluency in Portuguese and English

Nice To Have

• Experience with cloud environments, such as AWS, Azure or GCP
• Knowledge of virtualisation technologies, such as VMware, KVM or Hyper-V
• Experience with Docker or containerised environments
• Knowledge of CI/CD concepts
• Experience with Python or additional scripting languages
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL, MySQL or MariaDB administration
• Experience with enterprise monitoring and observability tools
