Job summary

Eurofins Scientific is seeking an IT Deployment and Support Engineer for LIMS in Braga, Portugal. The role provides 1st and 2nd line support for a European network of clinical diagnostics laboratories, focusing on the core Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).

You will work from Braga in a globally distributed team, joining the Clinical LIMS Europe Program that delivers the central LIMS across Europe. The position offers hybrid work with three days in the office weekly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Life Sciences, Biology, Chemistry or related field.
• Proven experience in technical support, IT or system engineering role.
• Experience in application troubleshooting.
• Experience in troubleshooting Windows 10/11, networking fundamentals and cloud platforms (AWS, etc.).
• Experience of Oracle RDBMS and Linux OS.
• Experience with monitoring tools, ticketing systems, and diagnostic utilities.
• Any prior LIMS experience is an advantage but not necessary.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Very good command of English written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Register, classify, route, follow-up and resolve requests via e-mail or ticketing system.
• Provide training on LIMS to end users on site or face-to-face.
• Attend on-site deployments to configure LIMS processes with laboratory staff.
• Work with development teams to balance development and configuration.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot application, hardware or cloud infrastructure problems.
