Job summary

Hiscox SA in Lisbon seeks a Legal Entity Finance Analyst to support financial stewardship, governance and oversight of the group and its EU entities. You will coordinate with local Boards, Audit Committees and governance forums.

The role requires strong accounting knowledge, advanced Excel, and a keen eye for controls, regulatory reporting and audit support. You will collaborate with the Finance External Partner and central teams to ensure accurate, timely financial information across multiple

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• Professional accounting qualification.
• Experience within insurance or financial services preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support financial stewardship, governance and oversight of legal entities.
• Coordinate inputs for local Boards and governance forums.
• Review and challenge financial reporting and control outputs.
• Monitor the effectiveness of the financial control environment.
• Assist with the maintenance and documentation of entity-level controls.
• Support interactions with regulators, internal auditors and external auditors.
• Ensure local reporting requirements are understood and communicated to relevant stakeholders.
• Facilitate communication between local stakeholders and central Finance teams.
