Job summary

A Hiire está a recrutar um Lead Test Engineer para se juntar à equipa de Engenharia. Procuramos alguém com forte experiência em planeamento, desenho e gestão de testes em sistemas complexos, com domínio de Jira/Xray e conhecimento em comunicações e redes.

O candidato ideal terá formação em Engenharia e pelo menos 7 anos de experiência em testes de sistemas, com capacidade de liderar equipas e colaborar com clientes e fornecedores em ambientes regulados.

Qualifications

• Licenciatura em Engenharia exigida.
• Experiência de 7+ anos no design e execução de testes de sistemas de informação.
• Conhecimento de Jira, especialmente o módulo Xray.
• Domínio de comunicações de rádio, sistemas por satélite, redes e arquitetura da informação.
• Experiência com sistemas deployáveis utilizados em ambientes operacionais.
• Excelentes habilidades de comunicação com partes interessadas e equipas multidisciplinares.
• Proatividade e capacidade de melhorar processos de teste.
• Capacidade de trabalhar de forma estruturada e criar processos repetíveis de teste.

Responsibilities

• Liderar planeamento de testes, desenho e seleção de ferramentas.
• Definir diretrizes de procedimentos de teste e relatórios.
• Colaborar diretamente com o Cliente em visitas técnicas e realizar testes de integração.
• Coordena com o Comprador para requisitos de suporte de testes e entregáveis.
• Gerir recursos de teste de contratados e assegurar o cumprimento de marcos do projeto.

What You’ll Do

We are seeking an experienced Lead Test Engineer for an interesting defense project. In this role, you will lead test planning, design, and tool selection efforts, establishing the standards and procedures that guide all testing activities. You will coordinate closely with the Purchaser on test support requirements and manage Contractor test resources to ensure successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct test planning, design, and tools selection: Define the overall testing strategy and select appropriate tools and methodologies for the project. Plan overall project activities, including validation of technical requirements against the established test catalog.
• Establish guidelines for test procedures and reports: Create standardized frameworks that ensure consistency and quality across all testing activities.
• Coordinate directly with the Client during technical visits to EID, creating and executing integration tests under their observation.
• Coordinate with the Purchaser on test support requirements, ensuring alignment on expectations, scope, and deliverables.
• Manage Contractor test resources: Oversee testing teams, allocate responsibilities, and monitor performance to meet project milestones.

What You’ll Bring

• Education: Minimum Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• Experience: At least 7 years of experience in the design and execution of information systems tests. Working knowledge of Jira, specifically the Xray test management module (considered a strong plus).
• Domain Knowledge: Radio communications, satellite systems, network communications, and information architecture.
• Domain Experience: Demonstrated experience with deployable systems - familiarity with systems that are configured, integrated, and deployed in operational environments.
• Strong communication skills: Able to liaise effectively with stakeholders, contractors, and team members at all levels.
• Team collaboration: Works constructively within cross-functional teams and fosters a cooperative testing culture.
• Proactivity: Anticipate issues, identify improvements, and take initiative without waiting for direction.
• Systematic process development: Demonstrate ease in developing structured, repeatable processes that improve the efficiency of testing-related tasks.
