What will be your role
We are looking for a Lead Product Designer (UX) to join an international client in the financial services sector and build its platform design practice from the ground up. You'll turn complex financial workflows into simple, intuitive and trustworthy experiences for professional users. This is a true player-coach role: you'll set the design strategy and stay hands-on, working side by side with Product Owners and Frontend Engineering with a direct impact on the product roadmap.
Your responsibilities will include
- Defining and communicating a long-term UX vision aligned with the product roadmap and business goals;
- Creating a design philosophy tailored to the needs of professional users in financial services;
- Leading design from discovery to delivery: prototyping early, iterating often and validating through user research and testing;
- Translating complex business needs and regulatory requirements into clear, simple experiences;
- Building and evolving a scalable design system and component library fit for a regulated industry;
- Guiding a team of frontend engineers and fostering a design culture built on constructive critique, rigour and curiosity;
- Being the voice of design across Product, Engineering and Sales, explaining decisions to technical and non-technical audiences, including C-level;
- Helping shape the ways of working between design, product and development;
What should you bring to the team
- 8+ years of experience designing complex B2B SaaS products;
- Proven experience leading a design team or function, with the ability to work both strategically and hands-on;
- A strong portfolio showcasing your UX process and measurable outcomes;
- Advanced Figma skills and experience building design systems, plus curiosity for AI design tools (Claude Design, Figma Make, Google Stitch);
- A talent for making dense information clear and trustworthy, and for linking UX decisions to business value;
- Excellent written and spoken English;
Nice to have
- Experience in FinTech, banking, wealth management or financial services;
- Knowledge of financial regulation (MiFID II, SFDR);
- Experience designing for expert and professional users;
- Familiarity with Agile and Lean UX methodologies;
What is in it for you
- An amazing informal culture of smart, hardworking, and friendly people who support and care about each other;
- A mentorship program from day one;
- The opportunity to build a design practice from scratch and leave your mark on a business-critical platform;
- Formal training and certifications;
- Access to cutting-edge tools and technologies, including the latest AI design tools;
- A dynamic company where your ideas matter more than your job title;
- Flexibility with responsibility, in a 100% remote setup;
- A Rubber Duck to help you untangle those tricky user flows;
