A IT Campus, localizada em Lisboa, está à procura de um Lead Java Developer com experiência em Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs e microserviços para liderar o desenvolvimento de software empresarial. O papel envolve atuação em ambientes cloud-native (Azure/AWS/GCP), integração com DevOps e IA assistida.

O candidato ideal terá experiência em equipes ágeis, contratação de soluções escaláveis e mentoria de engenheiros, com disponibilidade para modelo híbrido (1 dia no escritório por semana) e língua

Qualifications

• Experiência comprovada como Lead Java Developer delivering enterprise-scale software solutions.
• Conhecimento sólido de Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, microserviços e práticas modernas de desenvolvimento.
• Experiência em aplicações cloud-native com Azure/AWS/GCP e contêineres (Kubernetes).
• Compreensão de DevOps, CI/CD, testes automatizados, Infrastructure as Code e observabilidade de software.
• Experiência com front-end moderno (Angular/React) e bancos de dados relacionais.
• Capacidade de utilizar ferramentas de IA para melhoria de entrega de software e produtividade dos developers.
• Compreensão de qualidade, segurança e conformidade em desenvolvimento IA.

Responsibilities

• Liderar desenvolvimento, manutenção e melhoria de aplicações empresariais em Java e tecnologias full-stack.
• Colaborar com equipes de entrega, arquitetura, produto e engenheiros para soluções de software de alta qualidade.
• Contribuir para planejamento ágil, estimativas e entrega de features.
• Desenvolver e manter serviços backend escaláveis com Java, Spring Boot e REST APIs; apoiar frontend com Angular/React.
• Conduzir revisão de código e promover melhores práticas de engenharia, qualidade, desempenho e segurança.
• Contribuir para testes automatizados (unidade, integração, end-to-end) e operações de aplicações com CI/CD e observabilidade.
• Mentorar desenvolvedores e promover cultura de DevOps e IA responsável.

Function Description / Professional Tasks

• As a Lead Java Developer, you will be responsible for the implementation, development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of business-critical software applications using Java and modern full-stack technologies, driving software implementation excellence, engineering best practices, and the effective adoption of AI-assisted development, while ensuring alignment with the target architecture and engineering standards defined by the Architecture Owner.
• Work closely with the Delivery Team Lead, Architecture Owner, Product Owner, and fellow engineers to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Contribute to agile planning, estimation, and delivery activities.
• Collaborate with the Architecture Owner to ensure software solutions align with architectural principles, engineering standards, security requirements, and the target technology roadmap.
• Develop and maintain scalable backend services using Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, event-driven architectures, and cloud-native technologies.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of modern frontend applications using Angular, React, or similar frameworks.
• Perform code reviews and promote engineering best practices to ensure high standards of code quality, maintainability, performance, and security.
• Implement and maintain automated testing strategies, including unit, integration, end-to-end, and performance testing, in collaboration with the Test team.
• Support application operations, troubleshooting, incident resolution, root-cause analysis, and continuous service improvement.
• Work with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, Infrastructure as Code, and observability tools to enable reliable and efficient software delivery.
• Drive the adoption of modern software engineering practices, including AI-assisted development, code generation, automated testing, and developer productivity tools.
• Leverage AI-powered development solutions to improve software delivery, code quality, testing, documentation, operational efficiency, and developer productivity while ensuring security, compliance, and maintainability standards.
• Mentor and support developers by sharing knowledge and promoting engineering best practices, including the effective and responsible use of AI-assisted development tools.
• Contribute to technical documentation, development standards, and knowledge-sharing initiatives across the engineering organization.

Personal Skills and Education

What you bring

• Proven experience as a Senior Java Developer or Lead Developer delivering enterprise-scale software solutions.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices, and modern software development practices.
• Experience developing and operating cloud-native applications using platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud, including container technologies and Kubernetes.
• Solid understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, Infrastructure as Code, and software observability.
• Experience working with relational databases and modern frontend frameworks such as Angular, React, or similar technologies.
• Proven experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, or equivalent solutions to improve software delivery and developer productivity.
• Understanding of quality, security, governance, and compliance considerations related to AI-assisted software development.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and business teams.
• Experience mentoring developers and promoting engineering best practices within Agile delivery teams.
• Experience working in Agile environments using Scrum, Kanban, or similar methodologies.

Education

• University degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Language Skills

• English oral and written
• Optional: German oral (and written)
