JobCloud in Porto, Portugal is seeking a Backend Software Engineer to build and maintain integrations with external systems. You will help design scalable services and improve reliability across our ecosystem in an international team.

You will write clean, well-tested code, participate in code reviews, and contribute to automation, deployment and system reliability while collaborating with product managers and stakeholders across locations.

Qualificações

• 4+ years of backend software development experience.
• Proficiency in Python and/or PHP.
• Experience with AWS and IaC tools.

We're looking for a curious and proactive Backend Software Engineer who enjoys solving integration challenges and building reliable software. You'll work as part of an international team responsible for developing and maintaining services that connect JobCloud's ecosystem with external platforms. A decade ago JobCloud conceived a concept ahead of its time - a product designed to efficiently manage and optimize the usage of the customer’s hiring budget while identifying the optimal channels to maximize the visibility of job ads (AI/ML are key to optimizing this process) and effectively reach the target public (potential employees).

Today our mission is to revolutionize the industry standard shifting away from the current job ads paradigm of Pay per Duration toward Pay per Performance. What was once merely a concept is now on the cusp of becoming a reality!

YOUR TASKS

• Develop and maintain integrations with external systems for both inbound and outbound data streams.
• Monitor the health and reliability of integration services and resolve operational issues when needed.
• Participate in the design and implementation of new features and services.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers and stakeholders across international teams.
• Write clean, maintainable and well-tested code following engineering best practices.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving the team's development processes.
• Help build scalable and resilient backend services that support our growing platform.
• Contribute to continuous improvements in automation, deployment and system reliability.

YOUR SKILLS

• 4+ years of experience in Back-end Software Development.
• Strong programming experience in Python and/or PHP.
• Experience with AWS services and cloud-native architectures.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Strong understanding of software engineering best practices, including code reviews and automated testing.
• Curiosity and willingness to continuously expand your technical knowledge.
• Strong work ethic, self-discipline and a collaborative mindset.
• Experience working in agile, cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted software development is considered a plus.
• Good communication skills in English.
