Job summary

Ytech, a technology start-up in Lisbon, seeks a Lead Java Backend Developer with 5+ years of experience to drive the design and evolution of Unified Commerce solutions. You will lead Java microservices, enforce security standards, and collaborate with frontend teams to ensure seamless integration with React components.

The role requires strong architectural vision, hands-on leadership, and the ability to mentor developers while shaping technical direction and ADRs within a hybrid Lisbon

Qualifications

Over 5 years of professional software development experience.
Deep Java and microservices experience for scalable distributed systems.
Strong knowledge of application security and IAM.
Experience with Keycloak, Okta and OIDC protocols.

Responsibilities

Lead design, development and deployment of Java microservices focusing on scalability, performance and security.
Contribute to evolution of Unified Commerce products and architectural standards.
Define quality gates and promote best practices; lead code reviews.
Collaborate with frontend teams (React) for seamless integration.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior/mid-level developers.
Create ADRs and runbooks; maintain technical documentation.
