Job summary

Vodafone is seeking a Lead for the Cyber Security/Prevent team in Logging & Monitoring to drive platform optimization and security tooling across Vodafone Group and local markets. You will oversee configuration, guide multiple squads, and collaborate with Product Owners to manage backlogs, while continuously reducing cyber risks through design and automation.

You will lead DevSecOps engineers, champion IaC, cloud platforms, and data-driven security strategies in a dynamic, global environment.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a cyber security/logging and monitoring team.
• Proficiency with Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, Beats).
• Proficient in Python development.
• Experience with Kubernetes operations and IaC (Terraform, Ansible).
• Experience with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure) and BigQuery or similar.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee platform configuration, development, and optimization.
• Provide technical leadership across multiple squads.
• Work closely with Product owner to prioritise and maintain backlog.
• Evaluate and implement new design methods to reduce cyber risks.
• Provide technical expertise and decision making on strategies like Tooling cluster, patching & monitoring.
• Lead a team of Devsecops Engineers.
• Drive automation to improve maintainability and efficiency.
