Family Assist is seeking a talented Head Chef to lead the kitchen at a fine dining restaurant in Funchal, Portugal. You will shape menus, oversee daily operations, and mentor a passionate team.

The ideal candidate has leadership experience in luxury settings, fluent English, and the ability to obtain a Portuguese work permit. The role offers a competitive salary and growth opportunities.

Qualificações

• Culinary degree or equivalent experience required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Sous Chef or 2 years as an Executive Chef.
• Fluent in English; Portuguese is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and create innovative menus reflecting the restaurant's concept and cuisine.
• Plan and organize daily kitchen operations including food preparation, cooking, plating and service.
• Supervise and train kitchen staff on proper food handling techniques, recipes and presentation.
• Ensure consistency in food quality and presentation by conducting regular taste tests.
• Monitor inventory levels and order supplies to maintain stock levels while minimizing waste.
• Maintain a safe and sanitary work environment by following health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure a smooth flow of service and excellent guest experience.
• Manage food costs by creating budget-friendly recipes without compromising on quality.
