Bial invites you to join our Neurosciences team in Portugal to support the Neurosciences Department through experiments, budget control and compliance activities, while acting as a point of contact for operational excellence. You will oversee laboratory management and documentation, ensure adherence to GxP/GLP/GCP and regulatory standards, and contribute to successful research projects.

Qualificações

• Academic degree in health sciences.
• Experience working in a research laboratory.
• Applied skills in in vitro techniques.
• Experience in lab management roles.
• Knowledge of GxP/GLP/GCP ORBEA regulations (preferred).
• Strong organizational, autonomy and administrative competencies.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.

Responsabilidades

• Perform pharmacological and biochemical experiments in vitro or in vivo.
• Organize the work for the execution of experiments/laboratory assays.
• Participate in the experiments/laboratory assays design and implementation when possessing the adequate training.
• Manage the laboratory and animal house supply stocks (inventory, reception and control).
• Together with Procurement, assess proposals, negotiate and select suppliers, process purchase requisitions, place orders and manage their status until delivery and/or during the warranty period.
• Manage biological samples, tests and reference items.
• Guarantee general laboratory equipment management (calibrations/verifications, maintenance monitoring and reporting).
• Support budget control and execution (OPEX/CAPEX).
• Support computerized system validations.
• Prepare and/or periodically review documents supporting all department activities and ensure adequate documentation standards.
• Participate in internal company audits and support planning, execution and reporting activities.
• Monitor, discuss and close CAPAs from audits, Change Controls or Deviations.
• Perform and support data quality control evaluations.
• Monitor adherence to health and safety policies and SOPs.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of laboratory operations and research processes.

• Prepare and/or periodically review documents supporting all department (general and specific) activities and ensure the adequate standards of documentation for the operational, specific and technological reality of the area;
• Participate, when requested, in internal company audits and support the planning, execution and reporting activities;
• Monitor, discuss and close CAPAs (Corrective and Preventive Actions) resulting from audits, Change Controls or Deviations;
• Perform and support data quality control evaluations;
• Monitor adherence to health and safety policies as well as related SOPs;
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of laboratory operations and research processes.

What You’ll Bring

• Academic degree in a scientific fields related to Health Sciences;
• Experience working in a research laboratory;
• Applied skills in in vitro techniques;
• Experience in lab management roles;
• Knowledge of applicable legislation and regulations (GxP, GLP, GCP, ORBEA) (preferred);
• Solid organizational skills, autonomy and administrative competencies;
• Positive, responsible and proactive attitude;
• Exceptional attention to detail, rigor and ability to concentrate;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a high level of teamwork;
• Good understanding of compliance requirements and research laboratory practices.
