Job summary

The Standard, Lisbon is launching its first culinary team and seeks a Culinary / Kitchen Intern to join the pre-opening kitchen. You will collaborate with our Executive Chef Fernanda Serrano and the culinary team to learn how to launch and operate the kitchens of a vibrant lifestyle hotel.

You’ll gain hands-on experience in food preparation, mise en place, cooking, plating and service while absorbing kitchen hygiene standards and procedures in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Currently studying Culinary Arts or related hospitality field.
• Passion for cooking and food culture.
• Basic knowledge of kitchen operations and mise en place.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Assist in pre-opening preparations and learn kitchen procedures.
• Support daily operations across food preparation, mise en place, cooking and plating.
• Learn food safety standards and hygiene practices under supervision.
• Work alongside Executive Chef Fernanda Serrano and culinary team.
