Hiire is supporting EID, a leading Portuguese defence-tech company, by recruiting a Junior System Engineer to join its team in Portugal. The role focuses on translating customer needs into formal system requirements and supporting complex, multi-domain architectures.

The successful candidate will analyze existing systems, troubleshoot across software and hardware, and contribute to system designs and network implementations while communicating in Portuguese and English.

Qualificações

• Degree in Electronic Engineering, Communications Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field.
• Solid understanding of radio and digital communication systems.
• Experience producing clear technical documentation at high and low levels.
• Strong communication skills in Portuguese and English (written and spoken).

Responsabilidades

• Analyze customer needs and translate them into structured system requirements.
• Evaluate how existing systems can support new and evolving requirements.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve issues across software, hardware, and integrated systems.
• Contribute to the design and documentation of system architectures, including high-level and low-level designs.
• Support the implementation and optimization of communication and network infrastructures.
