Quanteam, founding entity of Rainbow Partners, is seeking a Securities Settlement Analyst to join our team in Lisbon on a hybrid basis. You will monitor settlement of securities, reconcile cash and positions, investigate discrepancies, and maintain data accuracy across internal systems and local custodians.

Ideal candidates have a finance or economics background, strong Excel skills, and interest in automation using Python, VBA, and Power BI.

Qualificações

• Experience in securities operations or related back office roles.

• Proficient Excel; VBA/Python/Power BI are a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Monitor settlement of securities transactions and related products.

Our core areas:

MAIN TASKS

• Monitor and ensure the settlement of securities transactions and associated products.
• Perform cash and securities position reconciliations between internal systems and local custodians.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to transactions, cash movements and securities positions.
• Ensure that relevant reference and static data is accurate and up to date.
• Follow up on pending or failed settlement operations and coordinate with relevant teams when required.
• Maintain and update relevant documentation related to securities settlement processes.
• Respond to operational queries and emails accurately and within agreed deadlines.
• Support transaction and event-related accounting processes for securities within scope.
• Identify opportunities to improve and automate repetitive operational processes.
• Develop and implement automation solutions using tools such as Python, VBA and Power BI.
• Academic background in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Management, Banking or a related field.
• Previous experience or strong interest in Securities Operations, Settlement, Reconciliation, Trade Support, Middle/Back Office or Banking Operations.
• Good understanding of financial markets and securities transactions.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to investigate discrepancies and operational issues.
• Good knowledge of Excel; VBA, Python and/or Power BI are considered a strong plus.
• Interest in data analysis and process automation.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with high volumes of financial data.
• Good problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Effective communication and ability to work collaboratively with different teams.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and international financial environment.
• Hybrid position based in Lisbon.
