Job summary

IKOS GROUP in Lisbon is seeking a motivated Junior Signaling Engineer to join our team and contribute to the design, testing, and maintenance of railway interlocking systems. You will work under a senior engineer to learn the brain of railway signaling and ensure safety and compliance.

You will develop and configure signalling systems, perform data preparation, and collaborate with RAMS, system engineering, and installation teams to deliver high-quality projects in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related tech field (mandatory!)
• Portuguese and English speaking are both mandatory.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Interest in railway signaling and technologies.

Responsibilities

• Learn under a senior railway engineer to understand railway signaling systems.
• Support development and configuration of railway signaling systems (interlockings, trackside equipment, onboard systems) according to project needs.
• Perform system parametrization and data preparation.
• Contribute to signalling principles, control tables, and configuration data.
• Assist in troubleshooting during project execution.
• Collaborate with RAMS, system engineering, and installation teams.
• Ensure compliance with railway standards and project specifications.
