PKF-VMB Belgium is seeking a Senior Signaling System Engineer in Porto, Portugal, with expertise in ETCS to join our railway engineering team. You’ll lead the design and implementation of systems ensuring compliance with ERTMS standards while collaborating with various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of ETCS signaling solutions.
• Ensure compliance with ERTMS standards and safety protocols.
• Handle system architecture, integration, validation, and RAMS (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, Safety) aspects.
• Conduct requirement analysis, system specifications, and safety assessments.
• Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure effective system integration.

Profile Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in railway signaling engineering, including proven ETCS/ERTMS experience.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
• Fluent in Portuguese (native or near‑native); English proficiency is a plus.
