Thales in Portugal seeks a Junior PMO & Project Financial Controller in Oeiras to bridge project management and accounting. You will monitor revenue, costs and margins, support forecasting, and prepare dashboards to inform management decisions.

Collaborating with Project Managers, Finance, Engineering and Procurement, you will contribute to accurate reporting and reliable forecasts for defense and aerospace projects. Fluency in English and 1–3 years of experience are required.

Qualificações

• Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Management, Engineering or related field.
• 1–3 years in financial controlling, PMO or project reporting.
• Strong understanding of P&L, costs, revenues and forecasting.
• Proficient Excel; knowledge of Power BI is a plus.
• Fluent in English; good analytical and organizational skills.

Responsabilidades

• Support financial monitoring of projects including Revenue, Costs, Gross Margin, EBIT and Cash Flow.
• Assist forecasting activities (EAC and ETC) and monitor Budget vs Forecast.
• Prepare project financial reports, dashboards and KPIs for management.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Finance, Engineering and Procurement.

We are looking for a Junior PMO / Project Financial Controller to join our team. In this role, you will combine project management support with financial controlling, working closely with Project Managers, Finance, Engineering and other stakeholders to monitor project performance, analyse financial data and support reliable forecasting and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Support the financial monitoring of projects, including Revenue, Costs, Gross Margin, EBIT and Cash Flow, and monitor actuals against Budget and Forecast;
• Support projectforecasting activities, including Estimate at Completion (EAC) and Estimate to Complete (ETC);
• Analyse financial deviations, identify potential risks and opportunities, and support the implementation of corrective actions;
• Prepare projectfinancial reports, dashboards and KPIs, ensuring accurate and consistent information for management;
• Work closely with Project Managers, Finance, Engineering, Procurement and other stakeholders to ensure alignment between project execution and financial performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Management, Engineering or a related field;
• 1–3 yearsof professional experience, preferably in financial controlling, project controlling, PMO, project management or management reporting;
• Good understanding of P&L, costs, revenues, margins and forecasting;
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel; experience with Power BI and/or ERP systems such as Oracle is a plus;
• Fluency in English, strong analytical and organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to work effectively with Finance and non-Finance stakeholders.
