Qualificações

• Degree or technical education in Telecommunications, Networking, CS or related field.
• At least 1 year of experience in telecommunications, networking, or NOC operations.

About The Opportunity

We are looking for a Junior International Roaming & NOC Engineer to support the continuous operation of international roaming services and platforms.

You will be responsible for service monitoring, initial incident detection, alarm handling and first-level troubleshooting. You will also coordinate escalations with specialised support teams, technology vendors, suppliers and international mobile operators.

This is an excellent opportunity for a junior telecommunications professional who wants to deepen their knowledge of LTE, VoLTE, 5G, IMS, mobile core networks and signalling protocols within an international 24x7 operations environment.

Main Responsibilities

• Monitor international roaming services and platforms on a 24x7 basis.
• Detect alarms, incidents, service degradation and availability issues.
• Analyse and categorise incidents according to their severity and impact.
• Perform initial troubleshooting using established operational procedures and runbooks.
• Open, update, monitor and close incident tickets.
• Escalate complex incidents to L2/L3 teams, vendors, suppliers or partner operators.
• Maintain clear communication with internal and external stakeholders throughout the incident lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with established SLAs and operational procedures.
• Participate in maintenance activities, planned interventions and technical changes.
• Produce operational records, shift handover notes and service reports.
• Monitor operational KPIs and service-quality indicators.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of operational processes.
• Identify opportunities to automate recurring monitoring and support activities.
• Support service availability and quality for international roaming customers.

• Degree or technical education in Telecommunications, Networking, Computer Science or a related field.
• At least one year of experience in telecommunications, networking, technical support, NOC operations or a similar area.

The Ideal Profile

The ideal candidate is at the beginning of their telecommunications career and already has initial experience in a NOC, technical support, networking or mobile operations environment.

You understand the fundamentals of IP and mobile networks and are interested in developing deeper expertise in international roaming, LTE, VoLTE, 5G, IMS and signalling protocols.

You are comfortable monitoring critical services, investigating alarms, opening and tracking incidents and escalating technical problems according to defined procedures. You remain organised under pressure and communicate confidently in Portuguese, English and Spanish.

You are also available to work rotating shifts in a 24x7 environment and attend the office in Fundão, Porto or Lisbon according to the hybrid working model.
