Job summary

Airbus Portugal SA in Coimbra is seeking an Entry Level Accounts Payable Accountant to support invoice processing and travel expense activities. You will verify invoices, resolve discrepancies, and coordinate with departments and vendors to ensure timely payments.

Qualifications

• Junior accountant (recent graduates) or with experience in Accounting administrative tasks.
• Finance / Accounting degree or experience in administrative accounting tasks
• Ability to handle high-volume of data entry
• Work with appropriate parties to resolve issues on invoices
• Implement and document process improvements
• Ability to process a minimum of 80 invoices daily with 98% accuracy
• Familiar with standard accounting concepts, practices, and procedures
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Organizational and time management skills

• Ability to prioritize issues and to efficiently troubleshoot problems

Responsibilities

• Receive invoices, verify items ordered, received and priced, and obtain Department Head approval
• Investigate and resolve exception invoices related to processing of invoices and purchase orders
• Prepare invoices for payment
• Review travel policy expense reports for compliance and assist employees to correct issues
• Provide support for travel and corporate card inquiries and manage account status
• Act as SME for corporate travel online tool and manage user profiles
• Provide monthly travel reports to track cost and compliance
• Research and resolve routine internal/external inquiries about account status
• Liaise between departments and vendors
• Maintain vendor statements with selected vendors
• Comply with safety policies and Finance/Purchasing procedures
• Perform tasks and projects from Leadership team
