Körber is seeking a Java Software Engineer to join their Material Flow Systems team in Portugal. You will design, develop, and deploy software for automated parcel sorting facilities and logistics hubs, collaborating with cross-functional teams across borders.

You’ll work on scalable Java applications, leverage Kubernetes-based environments, and contribute to DevOps practices. English is essential, with occasional travel to customer sites.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 4+ years professional experience with at least 1 year Java development.
• Experience in Kubernetes-based environments.
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms and OO design.
• Familiar with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure automation.
• Excellent English language skills.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and maintain software applications that control and optimize automated parcel sorting systems and logistics hubs.
• You will be part of a team that designs, implements, delivers and supports software applications for major parcel carriers.
• Optimize software for maximum speed and scalability with efficient algorithms.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and performance issues for a smooth user experience.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies and incorporate them into development.
• Contribute to improvement efforts within the development team.
