act digital is seeking a skilled Java Developer for a hybrid role in Lisbon/Alfragide. You will contribute to evolving and maintaining backend solutions within an Agile team, delivering features for Java applications and database logic.

You will analyze issues, implement fixes, and mentor peers while participating in Agile ceremonies and ensuring code quality, security, and performance. Fluency in Portuguese and English is required.

Qualificações

• Solid experience with Java backend development and core Java.
• Strong SQL knowledge and relational database experience.
• Experience reading and developing Oracle stored procedures.
• Understanding of Java EE architecture and specs (EJB, JMS, JPA, CDI, JAX-WS, JAX-RS).
• Hands-on Agile/Scrum experience and code reviews.

Location: Alfragide, Lisbon (Hybrid model – 3 days per week in the office)

We're looking for a skilled Java Developer to join an Agile team and contribute to the evolution and maintenance of critical backend solutions.

What you'll do:

• Develop new features and enhancements for Java backend applications
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and implement fixes for identified issues
• Participate in the design and implementation of technical solutions with a high degree of autonomy
• Develop and maintain Oracle database logic
• Support junior team members through mentoring and code reviews
• Actively participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and task estimation activities
• Ensure code quality, security, and performance standards are met

Required skills:

• Solid experience in Java development (Core/SE)
• Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases
• Experience reading, adapting, and developing Oracle Stored Procedures
• Good understanding of Java EE architecture and specifications (EJB, JMS, JPA, CDI, JAX-WS, JAX-RS)
• Hands-on experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Proficiency with Git and Maven
• Fluency in both Portuguese and English (written and spoken)
