Consort Group, via Consort Portugal, is seeking an experienced Java backend developer to design and implement scalable services using Spring. You will work with cross-functional Agile teams to translate requirements into robust software ahead of releases.

Requirements include 5+ years in Java backend development, Spring Boot expertise, and strong English communication. The role offers hybrid work at 50% and a permanent contract with comprehensive HR benefits.

Qualificações

• At least 5 years of experience in Java backend development in enterprise environments.
• Strong experience with Java backend development and Spring Framework / Spring Boot.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems architecture and patterns.
• Experience with unit, integration and acceptance testing strategies.
• Familiarity with CI/CD practices and Agile methodologies; Scrum experience is a plus.
• Excellent communication, ownership, and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• English proficiency at C1 level.

• Design and develop robust backend applications using Java and Spring technologies;
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to clarify, analyze, and translate requirements into technical solutions;
• Design scalable and maintainable software architectures aligned with best practices;
• Develop secure, high-quality, and testable code following development standards;
• Contribute to the modernization and optimization of existing applications and services;
• Implement and improve Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery pipelines;
• Participate in code reviews and promote engineering excellence across the team;
• Integrate distributed technologies and frameworks into the application landscape;
• Develop tools and framework enhancements to support evolving business needs;
• Ensure software solutions meet performance, reliability, and scalability requirements;
• Support production environments and ensure application stability and availability;
• Implement and maintain testing strategies from unit testing to acceptance testing;

• Experience working in Scrum environments;
