Hexa Group in Portugal seeks a Java Developer to contribute to insurance software initiatives. This is a fully remote role focused on building reliable, scalable business applications that support insurance operations.

You will work within an Agile environment, collaborating with Product Owners and technical teams to design, develop and maintain solutions with emphasis on code quality, performance and maintainability.

Formación

• 4+ years of professional Java software development.
• Academic background in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
• Experience delivering software solutions in Agile environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with emphasis on quality.
• Ability to work autonomously and in distributed teams.
• Clear communication and proactive knowledge sharing.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop and maintain Java-based applications for insurance processes.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and teams to analyze needs and define solutions.
• Develop scalable components with focus on code quality and performance.
• Implement and optimize SQL and NoSQL data storage.
• Support CI/CD processes using Azure DevOps.
• Participate in Scrum activities and iterative delivery.
• Perform code reviews and troubleshoot issues for continuous improvement.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align technical work with business goals.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• - Design, develop and maintain Java-based applications supporting insurance business processes.
• - Collaborate with Product Owners, technical teams and stakeholders to analyze business needs and define technical solutions.
• - Develop scalable and maintainable software components, ensuring code quality and application performance.
• - Implement and optimize data storage and retrieval using relational and NoSQL databases.
• - Support continuous integration and deployment processes using Azure DevOps.
• - Participate in Scrum activities, contributing to iterative development and consistent software delivery.
• - Perform code reviews, troubleshoot technical issues and contribute to continuous improvement of development practices.
• - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between technical implementation and business requirements.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• - Academic background in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• - Experience delivering software solutions in Agile development environments.

• - Java development and object-oriented programming.

• - MongoDB and NoSQL data management.
• - Azure DevOps for development collaboration and CI/CD processes.

• - Software debugging, code review and performance optimization.
