Job summary

KCS IT in Portugal is seeking a mid-level Java Backend Developer to join our hybrid Braga team. You will design and implement robust back-end services using Java, Spring and microservices to deliver REST APIs for multiple projects.

The role offers collaboration with international clients and opportunities for training and career growth. You will work with Spring/Spring Boot, REST APIs, and MySQL, contributing to clean code, testing, and a DevOps mindset in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of backend Java development experience.
• Strong knowledge of OOP, design patterns, clean code, and software engineering best practices.
• Solid experience with Spring and Spring Boot.
• Strong experience designing and developing REST APIs and Microservices architectures.
• Strong experience with MySQL and relational databases.
• Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka and event-driven architectures.
• Good understanding of software testing practices.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and a DevOps mindset.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Fluency in English is mandatory.
