Job summary

KCS IT is seeking an Amazing Java Backend professional for a hybrid role in Braga. You should have about 5 years of backend development experience with Java, strong Spring/Spring Boot knowledge, and solid REST/Microservices design skills.

You’ll work on MySQL-backed systems with Kafka, follow clean code practices, and engage in Agile teams with English mandatory. The role offers hybrid/onsite possibilities in Braga, with opportunities for remote and international projects across Benelux and

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in backend software development with Java.
Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming principles, design patterns, clean code, and software engineering best practices.
Solid experience with Spring and Spring Boot.
Strong experience designing and developing REST APIs and Microservices architectures.
Strong experience with MySQL and relational databases.
Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka and event-driven architectures.
Good understanding of software testing practices.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and a DevOps mindset.
Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Fluency in English is mandatory.
