Capgemini Portugal is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices. You will implement REST APIs, event-driven integrations (Kafka), and collaborate closely with architects and product owners to ensure secure, observable, and high-performance systems.

You will own backend features end-to-end, contribute to engineering best practices, and mentor teammates while supporting cloud-native deployments in a hybrid

Qualificações

• 5+ years of backend software development experience.
• Strong Java, Spring Framework, and Spring Boot expertise.
• Experience designing and developing microservices-based applications.
• Hands-on with REST APIs and event-driven architectures, Kafka.
• Cloud-native technologies, CI/CD, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Excellent communication and collaboration in agile teams; fluent in English.

Responsabilidades

• Develop, enhance, and maintain scalable backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices.
• Design and implement REST APIs and event-driven integrations with performance, security and reliability in mind.
• Own backend features from design through deployment and support.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, and dev teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Contribute to architecture decisions, code reviews, and engineering best practices.
• Support cloud-native apps focusing on stability, observability, and continuous improvement.
• Mentor team members and share knowledge within the team.
