Caixa Mágica Software invites a Java Developer to design and build scalable back-end solutions using Java and Spring Boot. You will work on REST APIs and microservices, contribute to architecture and drive engineering best practices in an international Agile team.

You will collaborate across Portugal and the Netherlands, participate in code reviews, automated testing, and CI/CD processes, and mentor peers while delivering robust, secure software.

Qualificações

• Strong knowledge of Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience designing and developing REST APIs and microservices.
• Understanding of software architecture, design patterns and clean-code principles.
• Strong automated testing skills (unit and integration).
• Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with public cloud platforms (Azure, AWS or GCP) is a plus.
• Solid understanding of application security and secure development practices.
• Experience in Agile / Continuous Delivery environments.
• Proactive, ownership-driven, able to explain decisions clearly.
• Good collaboration and communication in an international team.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop and maintain robust back-end services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Design and implement REST APIs and microservices with performance, security and maintainability in mind.
• Contribute to technical design and architecture decisions within the squad.
• Write clean, well-tested code following engineering best practices.
• Maintain high standards for code reviews, automated testing and code quality.
• Support CI/CD and deployment processes with DevOps and other engineering roles.
• Troubleshoot complex issues and contribute to root-cause analysis.
• Coach and mentor other developers, sharing knowledge to improve practices.
• Promote pair programming, peer reviews and continuous improvement.
• Communicate technical decisions clearly and challenge existing solutions when needed.
• Collaborate with a geographically distributed squad across Portugal and the Netherlands.
