Job summary

act digital in Lisbon, Portugal seeks a Java Backend Developer to join an international luxury retail team. The role is hybrid in Lisbon, focusing on building and maintaining Java microservices for Checkout, MyAccount, and ODR processing.

You will develop RESTful and GraphQL APIs, write tests, and contribute to code quality using SonarQube and Snyk, while aligning with security and IAM practices and agile ceremonies.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Java backend development.
• Knowledge of microservices architectures and RESTful services.
• Familiarity with GraphQL is a plus and testing practices are valued.
• Experience with Git/GitLab and secure coding practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Java microservices for Checkout, MyAccount, and ODR Processing products.

We're looking for a Java Backend Developer to join an international team working on innovative digital products within the luxury retail sector.

Location: Lisbon (Hybrid)

What you'll do

• Develop and maintain Java microservices for Checkout, MyAccount, and ODR Processing products
• Build and enhance RESTful and GraphQL APIs
• Write unit and integration tests and contribute to code quality initiatives using SonarQube and Snyk
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives
• Follow best practices for coding, security, and GitLab pull request processes
• Support the integration of IAM solutions such as Keycloak, Okta, and OIDC
• Collaborate with senior engineers and participate in a structured upskilling program

What we're looking for

• Experience with Java development
• Knowledge of Microservices Architecture
• Experience with REST APIs (GraphQL is a plus)
• Familiarity with Git/GitLab
• Understanding of testing practices and software quality principles
• Interest in security and identity management technologies
• Strong communication skills in English (C1)
