Job summary

Komodo Consulting in Lisbon is seeking a Java Backend Developer to join a Technology project. You will design and implement scalable microservices for Checkout, MyAccount, and ODR Processing, taking ownership of the full feature lifecycle from architecture to deployment.

You will integrate Keycloak/Okta IAM flows (OIDC, RBAC), build RESTful and GraphQL APIs with OpenAPI docs, and apply event-driven patterns using AWS SQS or Solace. Collaboration and mentoring are key in this hybrid Lisbon role.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of Java Backend development experience.
• Proficient in Java and React.
• Experience with microservices, REST/GraphQL APIs.
• Hands-on experience with Keycloak and/or Okta IAM flows, including OIDC and RBAC.
• Experience with event-driven architectures using AWS SQS and/or Solace messaging.
• Familiarity with code quality tools such as SonarQube and Snyk.
• C1 level proficiency in English and Portuguese.
• Must be based in Portugal.

Responsibilities

• Enforce quality standards through SonarQube, Snyk, and code review practices.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge transfer within the squad.
• Participate in architectural decisions and contribute to the client's engineering standards.

The Project

Location
