Job summary

IT House in Porto is seeking a Java Back-End Developer for a direct placement with an end client in the Transport & Logistics sector. The role is based in Porto with a hybrid working model; you will contribute to a next-generation transport management platform and develop modular components using container technology, databases, and cloud services.

Ideal candidates have a degree in Computer Science or related field, extensive Java backend experience, strong Spring Boot knowledge, and experience

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Extensive experience developing Java-based backend applications.
• Good knowledge of the Spring Framework, especially Spring Boot.
• Experience developing RESTful web services and APIs.
• Solid knowledge of databases (SQL, Hibernate and JPA).
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ) is an advantage.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is desirable.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a structured way of working.
• Good English skills and ability to collaborate in an agile environment.
