Your Role as a Content Moderator

As a Content Moderator, your main responsibility will be to review and evaluate user-generated content on platforms such as social media, forums, or websites. You’ll ensure the content adheres to platform guidelines, local laws, and community standards—keeping the online space safe, positive, and respectful.

You will work as part of a fast-paced, international team, playing a crucial role in shaping how people experience online platforms. Prior content moderation experience is helpful but not required—we provide full training.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and moderate user-submitted content (text, images, videos, etc.) for compliance with community guidelines
• Identify and remove inappropriate, offensive, or harmful content
• Evaluate reported content and take the necessary action according to policy
• Ensure the protection of platform users by maintaining high moderation standards
• Maintain high-quality output and consistency across all moderation tasks
• Provide internal feedback to enhance moderation policies and improve performance
• Identify trends and escalate potential risks or areas for policy improvement
• Work closely with fellow moderators and team leads to achieve shared goals
• Participate in training and calibration sessions to ensure alignment on procedures
• Communicate clearly with internal departments when flagging content or raising queries

What We’re Looking For

• Native or fluent in Italian (C1-C2 level) – written and spoken
• Proficient in English (B2 level) – for internal communication and training
• Experience in content moderation, customer support, community management, or digital platforms
• Knowledge of social media trends, user behavior, and community guidelines
• Strong attention to detail and critical thinking
• Comfortable working with sensitive or disturbing content
• Ability to make fast and accurate decisions
• Strong work ethic and team-oriented attitude
• Resilience and emotional maturity
• Confident using content moderation tools and online platforms
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and digital communication tools
