Axians Portugal is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead infrastructure and production projects within a strategic banking-focused program. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage governance, risk, security, and delivery, and drive cloud-enabled solutions in an international, regulated environment.

You will partner with Business Project Managers and Production Support, apply DevOps and CI/CD practices, and ensure operational readiness.

Qualificações

• Proven experience leading IT projects at enterprise scale.
• Strong background in infrastructure, production environments, and application support.
• Familiar with monitoring/observability tools (e.g., Dynatrace).

Responsabilidades

• Lead infrastructure and production IT projects from initiation through delivery.
• Coordinate technical teams and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Act as the main point of contact for project governance, reporting and communication.
• Ensure compliance with IT governance, architecture standards, security requirements and resilience objectives.
• Manage project planning, risks, dependencies, costs and resource allocation.
• Work with Business Project Managers and Application Production Support teams.
• Support cloud-based initiatives and align with modern infrastructure architectures.
• Coordinate production deployment activities and transitions to operations.
• Define, validate and monitor SLAs and KPIs for production support.
• Contribute to infrastructure modernization, obsolescence management and FinOps governance.
• Collaborate with teams on Linux, middleware, cloud platforms, automation and containers.

IT Project Manager

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for an experienced IT Project Manager to join a strategic project within the banking sector. This role combines technical project leadership with production support activities, requiring a strong infrastructure background and the ability to coordinate complex IT initiatives in an international environment. You will be responsible for driving infrastructure and application production projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives, governance standards, security requirements, and operational excellence. Working closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and production support entities, you will contribute to the delivery of resilient, scalable, and cloud-enabled solutions while supporting the organization's ongoing transformation initiatives focused on DevOps, Agile practices, and Cloud adoption. What You Will Do On a Daily Basis

• Lead infrastructure and production-related IT projects from initiation through delivery, ensuring objectives, timelines, budget, and quality targets are achieved.
• Coordinate technical teams and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Act as the main point of contact for project governance, reporting, and communication.
• Ensure compliance with IT governance frameworks, architecture standards, security requirements, and resilience objectives.
• Manage project planning, risks, dependencies, costs, and resource allocation.
• Work closely with Business Project Managers and Application Production Support teams.
• Support cloud-based initiatives and ensure alignment with modern infrastructure architectures.
• Coordinate production deployment activities and transition processes to operational teams.
• Define, validate, and monitor SLAs and KPIs for production support activities.
• Contribute to infrastructure modernization, obsolescence management, decommissioning initiatives, and FinOps governance.
• Collaborate with technical teams involved in Linux, middleware, cloud platforms, automation, and container-based environments.
• Ensure operational readiness and knowledge transfer to support teams.
• Participate in critical production activities when required, including out-of-hours interventions for major project deployments.

Your Main Qualifications

• Proven experience as an IT Project Manager in enterprise-scale environments.
• Strong background in infrastructure, production environments, and application support.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools, particularly Dynatrace or similar platforms.
• Understanding of DevOps principles and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with technologies such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure Pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Knowledge of project management tools including Microsoft Project, Jira Portfolio, Smartsheet, Asana, or Monday.com
• Exposure to infrastructure and legacy technologies such as WebSphere, Autosys, and CFT File Transfer.
• Strong understanding of IT governance, risk management, and regulatory environments.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Excellent planning, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluency in English.
