Axians, a VINCI Energies brand, is seeking an IT Ops Engineer in Porto to ensure production readiness, stability, and infrastructure excellence within an Agile/DevOps setting. You will help define technical solutions, guarantee reliability across environments, and automate operational processes to improve delivery velocity.

Key responsibilities include monitoring setup, production deployments, security reviews, and collaboration with development teams to drive continuous improvement.

• Participate in defining and implementing technical solutions with production and infrastructure requirements in mind.
• Incorporate operational, infrastructure, security, and scalability needs into project scope and backlogs.
• Facilitate deployments and ensure availability of production and non-production environments.
• Implement and enhance monitoring, supervision, and service performance indicators for operational excellence.
• Support development teams by promoting DevOps practices and automating delivery processes.
• Conduct security reviews, assess operational risks, and identify infrastructure bottlenecks.
• Maintain installation, operation, backup, and recovery documentation.
• Contribute to service reliability and continuous improvement through incident support and knowledge sharing.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for an IT Ops Engineer to play a key role within an Agile and DevOps environment, ensuring production readiness, operational stability, and infrastructure excellence throughout the project lifecycle. You will contribute to the definition of technical solutions, guarantee the reliability of production and non-production environments, and support the continuous improvement of operational processes through automation, monitoring, and best practices.

What You Will Do on a Daily Basis

• Participate in the definition and implementation of technical solutions, ensuring production and infrastructure requirements are considered from the outset.
• Integrate operational, infrastructure, security, and scalability requirements into project scope and product backlogs.
• Facilitate solution deployments and ensure the availability and usability of production and non-production environments.
• Implement and enhance monitoring, supervision, and service performance indicators to ensure operational excellence.
• Support development teams by promoting DevOps best practices, improving delivery processes, and contributing to production automation initiatives.
• Conduct security reviews, assess operational risks, and identify potential bottlenecks related to infrastructure, networking, and security.
• Ensure installation, operational, backup, and recovery documentation is maintained and validated.
• Contribute to service reliability and continuous improvement through incident support, process optimization, and knowledge sharing.

Your Key Skills

• Strong understanding of Agile and DevOps methodologies.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as ElasticSearch, Grafana, Prometheus, and Dynatrace.
• Knowledge of DevOps toolchains including GitLab, Jenkins, SonarQube, Artifactory, Ansible, and collaboration platforms.
• Hands-on experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Solid knowledge of IT infrastructure, production operations, cybersecurity, and risk management.
• Ability to troubleshoot operational issues and propose effective action plans.
• Strong coordination, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Your Main Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in IT Operations, Infrastructure, or similar roles.
• Proven experience working in Agile and DevOps environments.
• Background in IT Infrastructure, Production Operations, and Cyber Security.
• Ability to plan, prioritize, and organize workload effectively.
• Continuous improvement mindset with a strong focus on quality and customer satisfaction.
• Availability to travel outside Portugal when required.
• Advanced level of English (written and spoken).
• Knowledge of French is considered a plus.
