Job summary

Critical FlyTech, a joint venture by Airbus and Critical Software, seeks an IT & Platform Engineer to manage infrastructure, systems and enterprise platforms. The role covers IT operations, systems administration, networking, and DevOps platform ownership, ensuring security and reliability across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Engineering, IT, CS or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, systems administration, platform engineering or technical operations.
• Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux environments, enterprise networking, infrastructure security, monitoring, backup and disaster recovery.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Entra ID and endpoint management through Intune.
• Experience with Git, Atlassian tools, CI/CD pipelines and software delivery platform administration.
• Familiarity with virtualization and containerization technologies.
• Experience working within ITSM processes, incident management and formal change control.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication and stakeholder management skills, with a continuous improvement mindset.
• Fluency in Portuguese and English.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, monitor and troubleshoot secure and reliable network infrastructure, connectivity services and platform health.
• Own and support engineering productivity and collaboration platforms (Git, Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket) and CI/CD platforms.
• Provide timely and effective technical support to employees; develop technical documentation, standards and roadmaps.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, security and Airbus stakeholders to ensure platforms meet business needs.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Join Critical FlyTech, a new organisation created by Airbus and Critical Software to deliver the next generation of safety-critical software across aviation, defence and space. As engineering and business operations continue to grow, the company is looking for an IT & Platform Engineer to manage and evolve the infrastructure, systems and enterprise platforms that support its teams.

The role combines IT operations, systems administration, networking, enterprise application management and DevOps platform ownership, ensuring the organisation operates securely, efficiently and reliably.

PROJECT & CONTEXT

Administer and maintain corporate IT infrastructure, including servers, endpoints, cloud services, networks, user accounts, permissions and access controls. Design, configure, monitor and troubleshoot secure and reliable network infrastructure, connectivity services and platform health.

Own and support engineering productivity and collaboration platforms, including Git, Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket and associated integrations. Maintain, monitor and improve CI/CD platforms, software delivery workflows and automation initiatives that enhance operational efficiency.

Provide timely and effective technical support to employees. Develop technical documentation, standards and roadmaps, collaborating with engineering, quality, security and Airbus stakeholders to ensure platforms meet business and project needs.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR (Required)

• Degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in IT infrastructure, systems administration, platform engineering or technical operations.
• Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux environments, enterprise networking, infrastructure security, monitoring, backup and disaster recovery.
