Job summary

remotepeople in Lisbon/Braga is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to join a technology consultancy, shaping cloud platforms for Data and AI workloads. You will own platform architecture, design secure, scalable solutions, and guide CI/CD pipelines across client projects.

Work is hybrid with two days in the office; you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, influence architectural decisions, and help deliver modern cloud platforms for diverse clients.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in platform engineering, cloud engineering or similar infra role.
• Hands-on with Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure.
• Production experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
• Strong Infrastructure as Code experience, especially Terraform.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI or Jenkins.

We're looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to join an established international technology consultancy, working across challenging client projects involving cloud platforms, Data and AI workloads. The opportunity

This isn't simply another DevOps or infrastructure operations position.

You'll combine hands-on engineering with architectural ownership, helping design and deliver secure, scalable and resilient cloud platforms across different client environments.

What we're looking for

• Solid experience in Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering, DevOps or a similar infrastructure-focused role.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud infrastructure.
• Experience with Kubernetes and Docker in production environments.
• Strong Infrastructure as Code experience, particularly Terraform.
• Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins or similar.
• Good understanding of cloud architecture, networking, security and infrastructure automation.
• Ability to take technical ownership, make architectural decisions and collaborate with clients and engineering teams.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a consultancy environment.

Additional experience that would be valuable

• AWS or GCP cloud environments.
• Data platforms, Databricks or MLOps infrastructure.
• Cloud governance, observability and FinOps.
• Experience providing technical leadership or mentoring other engineers.
