Axians is seeking an IT Governance & Steering Officer to harmonize IT activities with governance frameworks and strategic objectives. You will collaborate with senior stakeholders across functions and global oversight bodies to drive compliance, performance monitoring, and risk control.

IT GOVERNANCE & STEERING OFFICER

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for a professional to join an international environment, acting as a key governance coordinator responsible for ensuring alignment between IT activities, corporate governance frameworks, and strategic objectives. This role requires close collaboration with senior stakeholders, cross-functional teams, and global oversight bodies to drive compliance, performance monitoring, risk control, and organizational governance across a complex IT landscape.

What You Will Do on a Daily Basis

• Coordinate governance activities and ensure alignment with established IT standards, frameworks, and strategic directives.

• Perform gap analyses between current practices and governance requirements, defining and driving improvement and remediation initiatives.

• Manage internal control assessments and coordinate compliance-related requests, ensuring timely and high-quality responses from all stakeholders.

• Collect, validate, and consolidate performance data to produce executive-level reporting and meaningful management insights.

• Maintain and oversee organizational governance documentation, including roles, responsibilities, and decision-making authority frameworks.

Your Key Skills

• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both technical teams and senior leadership.

• Excellent coordination and organizational capabilities across multiple departments and priorities.

• Strong analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail and data accuracy.

• Ability to manage recurring governance, reporting, and compliance cycles while meeting strict deadlines.

• Autonomous, proactive, and self-driven approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.

Your Main Qualifications

• Previous professional experience in governance, project coordination, reporting, compliance, audit support, or similar functions (minimum 3 years desirable).

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

• Strong communication skills and ability to work within international and multicultural environments.

• Advanced level of English (written and spoken).

• Knowledge of French is considered a plus.
