We are looking for an experienced IT Business Analyst to join a team responsible for supporting and evolving critical actuarial platforms and applications. You will act as a bridge between business users, product owners, and technical teams, ensuring the smooth operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of applications while contributing to Agile delivery processes and user support activities.
Work Model: Hybrid (2-3 days per week in the office - Lisbon)
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Product Owner in backlog management and prioritization activities.
- Support and maintain business-critical actuarial applications and associated platforms.
- Gather, analyze, and clarify business and technical requirements for new features and enhancements.
- Create and manage user stories while coordinating activities with business stakeholders and technical teams.
- Monitor project progress and communicate updates to end users, functional teams, and technical stakeholders.
- Contribute to testing activities, including non-regression testing, sanity testing, and validation of platform changes.
- Define and execute test cases to ensure application quality and stability.
- Explain technical changes, maintenance activities, and security updates to business users.
- Maintain operational documentation, knowledge bases, and reference materials.
- Provide technical and functional support to users and ensure compliance with agreed service levels.
- Monitor incidents, coordinate resolution activities, and support maintenance requests.
- Work closely with offshore development teams and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Skills & Experience
- Experience working as an IT Business Analyst or similar role.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and VBA.
- Experience with application testing, including non-regression and sanity testing.
- Knowledge of Python.
- Understanding of cloud technologies and cloud-based environments.
- Experience working within Agile methodologies.
- Practical knowledge of ITIL principles and support processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience supporting business-critical applications and managing user requests.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and take initiative.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Ability to adapt quickly and learn new technologies and business domains.
- French (C1) is mandatory.
- English (B2 or higher).
