Job summary

EY in Porto, Portugal, is seeking a Junior IT Audit Consultant to support IT Audit engagements, assess IT controls, and contribute to client deliverables within the Technology Risk team.

The role focuses on ITGC testing, process assessment, and developing knowledge of technology risks and regulatory requirements in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Management, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
• Up to 2 years of professional experience, preferably in IT Audit, Technology Risk, Internal Audit, IT controls or a related area.
• Basic understanding of IT systems, processes and controls.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Support IT Audit engagements, including the assessment and testing of IT controls;
• Perform testing of IT General Controls (ITGCs), including access management, change management and IT operations;
• Support the assessment of automated controls and system-based processes;
• Participate in the evaluation of IT environments supporting financial and business processes;
• Collect, analyse and document audit evidence in accordance with defined methodologies and quality standards;
• Identify control weaknesses and support the documentation of findings and recommendations;
• Work closely with financial audit teams and other Technology Risk professionals;
• Contribute to the preparation of client deliverables, reports and presentations;
• Develop knowledge of emerging technology risks, regulatory requirements and industry trends.

As part of our Assurance – Technology Risk team, you will have the opportunity to work with multidisciplinary teams and support clients in assessing the reliability, security and effectiveness of their IT environments and technology-related controls. You will participate in IT Audit and technology risk engagements, developing a strong understanding of how technology supports business and financial processes, while gaining exposure to different industries, systems and IT environments.

Your Key Responsibilities

As a Junior IT Audit Consultant, you will:

To qualify for the role, you must have

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Knowledge of ITGCs, IT risk management, internal controls or audit methodologies;
• Familiarity with frameworks or standards such as COBIT, ISO 27001 or ITIL;
• Basic knowledge of ERP environments, such as SAP or other enterprise systems;
• Experience with data analysis or data visualisation tools;
• Interest in pursuing relevant professional certifications, such as CISA.
