Siemens SiePortal is seeking a Solution Architect to define the technical direction of a major digital platform. You will bridge Business, Product Owners, and Development teams to drive design and ensure alignment with strategic goals.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• Experience in solution/enterprise architecture, software engineering, or related IT roles.
• Strong knowledge of cloud, SaaS, APIs, distributed systems, and microservices.

Responsabilidades

• Articulate architectural design bridging business demands and technical possibilities.
• Derive cloud-based target architectures for infra and solution perspectives.
• Define roadmaps toward target architecture balancing priorities and feasibility.
• Plan and execute integrations across on-premise and cloud SaaS solutions.
• Enable teams with ready-to-use concepts and practical guidance.
• Understand business goals and consider test ops and cyber security needs.

Shape the Architecture Behind One of Siemens' Most Important Digital Platforms

As a Solution Architect (f/m/d), you will play a key role in defining the technical direction of SiePortal. Acting as a bridge between Business, Product Owners, Development Teams, Vendors, and Architects, you will drive solution design and ensure that our platform architecture remains aligned with strategic business goals.

Your mission will be…

As Solution Architect for our Digital Sales Platforms, you will help shape customer-facing digital business solutions used by DI. Your focus will be to connect business needs with modern SaaS, cloud, and integration capabilities, while ensuring a secure, scalable, and future-ready architecture.

• Articulate the architectural design for your area of responsibility, bridging technical possibilities with business demands and promoting innovation.
• Analyze business demands and derive cloud-based target architectures, covering both infrastructure and solution perspectives.
• Define stepwise roadmaps towards the target architecture, balancing business priorities, technical dependencies, and implementation feasibility.
• Ensure that integrations across the current landscape are properly planned and executed, combining on-premise systems with cloud-based SaaS solutions.
• Enable functional teams with technical expertise, ready-to-use concepts, and practical solution guidance to support the realization of the new platform.
• Understand business goals, objectives, and the needs of the business environment in relation to the systems in scope.
• Look beyond your own technical area and consider the needs of test teams, service operations, and cyber security to provide an end-to-end solution.

We are looking for someone with…

Education

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Information Systems, or a related field.

Experience & Knowledge

• Experience in Solution Architecture, Enterprise Architecture, Software Engineering, eBusiness, or a comparable IT role.
• Strong understanding of cloud, SaaS, APIs, distributed systems, microservice-oriented architectures, and modern web technologies.
• General knowledge of Azure or AWS cloud environments, especially regarding infrastructure-related topics.
• Solid understanding of software engineering principles such as SOLID, clean code, and relevant architecture practices including DDD, BDD, and TDD.
• Experience designing enterprise solutions and integration concepts in complex application landscapes.
• Good knowledge of Agile delivery, software development lifecycle, architecture governance, security, and compliance.
• Knowledge of sales and after-sales processes, SaaS-first approaches, or modern AI technologies is a plus.

• Databases & Search: Microsoft SQL Server, Entity Framework Core, MongoDB

Languages

• Business-fluent written and spoken English skills are required.
• Additional language skills, especially German, are beneficial.
