Job summary

Airbus Portugal SA is seeking a Control Assessment Specialist to review the record-to-report processes, systems and policies, advising on risk minimization and delivering improvements.

The role focuses on risk assessments, 2nd level testing, reporting issues, ensuring policy compliance, and supporting the Compliance organization in an international environment. A hybrid workplace at Parque das Nações is offered.

Qualifications

• Master degree level in Finance/Management or related discipline or graduated from a Business School (or equivalent).
• Analytical thinking with ability to synthesize information.
• Rigorous with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills, customer oriented and able to work in an international environment.

Responsibilities

• Review record-to-report department processes, systems and policies to minimize risk and drive improvements.

We are now looking for a Control Assessment Specialist for Airbus GBS.

Responsibilities - your mission

• Your main mission will be to review the record-to-report department (accounting, planning, reporting...) internal processes, systems and policies and make recommendations to ensure the risk to the business is minimized with a view to delivering improvements by advising, coaching and facilitating.

Key Activities

• Conducting risk assessments.
• Performing 2nd level testing on 1st Level Controls.
• Reporting risk management issues and internal controls deficiencies identified and providing recommendations for improving the record to report department operations.
• Evaluating compliance with the record-to-report department existing policies and procedures, identifying and proposing modifications as needed.
• Identifying areas of strengths and weaknesses and engaging in continuous education and staff development on best practices.
• Reviewing responses to internal and external audit management letter queries to ensure recommendations are implemented and ensuring all action items are resolved. Providing support to the Compliance organization.
• This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company's success, reputation and sustainable growth.

Requirements - our ideal candidate will have

• Master degree level in Finance/Management or related discipline or graduated from a Business School (or equivalent). 1 to 2 years' experience maximum in internal audit in an international company or audit firm.
• Analytical thinking with ability to synthetize.
• Rigorous, recognized for your organizational skills and your attention to the details.
• Good communication skills, customer oriented and able to work in an international environment.
• Team player.
• Negotiation level in English.
