Algomarketing is seeking an Innovation Manager to lead the Portugal COE, driving AI adoption, automation, and cutting-edge workflows. You will own the innovation roadmap, inspire teams, and build scalable prototypes (FOAK) that deliver tangible value across departments.

You will mentor a high-performing team, architect technical solutions with Google Apps Script, and act as a bridge between the Innovation group and the wider business, ensuring practical, user-friendly outcomes.

The Mission: As the Innovation Lead for our Portugal COE, you will be the catalyst for change. You aren't just managing a process; you are building a culture of "what's next." You will own the innovation roadmap for the COE, driving the adoption of AI, automation, and cutting‑edge workflows. You will inspire our "Algos" to push boundaries, while ensuring that every experiment scales into a tangible, value‑driven outcome.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Cultural Inspiration

• Champion Innovation: Act as the face of innovation in Portugal, running high‑energy workshops and "Vision Sessions" that inspire staff to rethink their daily workflows.
• Mentorship & Coaching: Support a high‑performing team, coaching them on how to identify automation opportunities and move from "problem" to "prototype."
• Community Building: Scale the local innovation community, turning passive users into "Innovation Champions" within their respective departments.

Hands‑on Delivery & Prototyping

• Lead by Example: You aren't afraid to open the hood. You will personally architect and build "First‑of‑a‑Kind" (FOAK) automations or AI prompts to prove viability.
• Solutions Architecting: Work alongside the COE teams to solve complex technical bottlenecks that Junior/Mid‑level operators cannot crack.
• Cross‑Functional Bridge: Act as the technical translator between the Innovation team and the wider business, ensuring our solutions are both powerful and user‑friendly.
• Google Apps Script & Automation: Architect custom solutions using Apps Script to bridge gaps between Google Workspace apps (Docs, Sheets, Gmail, Drive), reducing manual overhead and creating seamless operational flows.
• AI‑Assisted "Vibe Coding": Leverage LLM‑powered coding assistants (e.G., Claude, Codex) to rapid‑prototype, iterate, and build functional tools at high velocity, focusing on output over syntax.

Operations & Scalability

- Industrialise Innovation: Move beyond "random acts of digital." You will design the frameworks that take a raw idea from a workshop and turn it into a deployed, documented, and billable case study.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

• The Visionary Edge: A deep understanding of the current AI/Automation landscape (LLMs, Agents, No‑Code/Low‑Code ecosystems).
• Execution Mindset: You are a "Builder." You have a portfolio of automations, tools, or products you've personally brought to life.
• Influence: The ability to walk into a room of skeptics and leave with a room of enthusiasts.
• Technical Aptitude: Proficiency in Google Apps Script and modern "vibe coding" workflows, demonstrating the ability to ship robust technical solutions quickly.
