Job summary

Revolut is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to design and maintain compute layers with Kubernetes on bare metal, and to build tooling for hybrid cloud environments. You will ensure reliable hardware operations, lifecycle management, and close collaboration with network, security, and DevOps teams.

The role emphasizes automating infrastructure tasks via IaC, deep data centre knowledge, and experience with storage solutions like Ceph and MinIO. A STEM degree supports your application.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
• 3+ years of experience managing physical hardware.
• Experience with Kubernetes on bare metal and open-source storage solutions (Ceph, MinIO).
• Experience automating infrastructure tasks using Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
• In-depth knowledge of data centre operations, including power distribution, cooling, and rack management.

What You'll Be Doing

• Designing and maintaining the compute layer, focusing Kubernetes on bare metal

What You'll Need

• In-depth knowledge of data centre operations, including power distribution, cooling, and rack management
• Familiarity with server hardware and storage systems (Dell, HP, Supermicro)
• Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills related to hardware failures and performance bottlenecks
• Expertise in one or more object-oriented programming languages (Go, Java, Python)
• An academic background in STEM

Nice to have

• Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CCNP, CKA, Google Cloud, Red Hat)
• Experience working in regulated environments, such as financial services
• Familiarity with security best practices and compliance frameworks (PCI DSS, SOC2, GDPR)
