Job summary

iBET seeks a mid-level IT Systems & Security Administrator to strengthen server and network security across the institute. You will manage Windows and Linux environments, patch management, and network security hardening, with a focus on risk-based triage and post-patch validation.

The role reports to the Head of IT and requires hands-on work on a hybrid Windows/Linux infrastructure. On-site in Oeiras, with potential collaboration across labs and security audits.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years in systems/network administration.
• Fluent in Portuguese and English.
• Solid Windows Server administration (AD, GPO, DNS).
• Working Linux administration (Debian/Ubuntu and/or RHEL).
• Practical firewall and VLAN configuration experience.

Responsibilities

• Systems Administration: patch management across Windows/Linux, server provisioning, backup/restore, monitoring, runbooks.
