Job summary

Capgemini Engineering in Portugal is seeking an experienced RAN specialist to design, optimize and troubleshoot LTE/NR networks, ensuring exceptional user experience and network reliability.

You will lead mobility management strategies across LTE and 5G, work with MOCN/MORAN and Roaming, coordinate with core networks, and mentor teams. Fluency in English required; Swedish is a plus. Hybrid work available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in LTE/NR, network optimisation, MOCN, MORAN.
• Strong understanding of RF tools like Atoll, TEMS, NEMO.
• Ability to bridge operational, architectural, and governance aspects of network optimization.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluency in English; Swedish language skills are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Design, optimize and troubleshoot LTE/NR Radio access network.
• Lead the design and optimisation of mobility management strategies across LTE and 5G networks.
• Hands-on experience in MOCN, MORAN, Roaming environments in CSP or mission critical networks.
• Understanding of RAN IP stack routing and binding to IPSec/encryption tunnels with MOCN.
• Strong understanding of QoS for LTE/NR and coordination with core network teams.
• Identify root causes of mobility-related service degradation and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare optimisation recommendations, test reports & design documentation.
