Vestas in Porto, Portugal, is seeking a Power Systems Engineer in Electrical Models to advance electrical simulations for wind turbines and plant controllers. You will contribute to design, testing, verification, and validation in a global, cross-functional team.

This hybrid role combines hands-on engineering with collaboration across Porto and Denmark, emphasizing clear communication, problem solving, and stakeholder management while developing reliable models for customers and certification

Qualificações

• BSc or MSc degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Proficiency in power systems steady-state and transient analysis.
• Programming skills in C, C++, Python; familiarity with Git.
• Experience with power systems simulation tools (Simulink, PSS/E, PSCAD, DigSilent).
• Fluency in English (written and spoken).

Responsabilidades

• Ensure performance and quality of electrical simulation models for wind turbines and plant controllers through development, testing, verification and validation procedures.
• Work closely with Porto and Denmark colleagues, and input from TSOs worldwide to meet global certification standards.
• Engage in engineering activities to optimize development and validation processes of electrical simulation models.
