Vestas Technology & Operations in Porto, Portugal, is seeking a skilled engineer to own grid-following converter control within the Converter Control Algorithms team. You will design, implement, test, and verify control software for power electronics used in wind turbines, collaborating with grid compliance and field teams.
We value a Master or PhD in electronics or power electronics, strong MATLAB/Simulink skills, and a proven record in converter development.
Qualificações
- Master or PhD in Engineering within electronics, control or power electronics.
- Solid knowledge of grid-connected converters and grid codes.
- Experience in converter control development and verification through simulations and tests.
Responsabilidades
- Lay out converter requirements and own converter control design.
- Develop, test, and verify control software for grid-following converters.
- Support technical sales, grid integration, and service functions in Vestas.
- Build guidelines for the above functions/teams.
- Resolve field issues via root cause analysis.
- Coach less experienced engineers and lead the team to high-quality solutions.
