Vestas is seeking a software engineer to contribute to the Plant Design & Risk Modelling team within R&D in Porto. You will develop and maintain a core site-load simulation tool, modularize computation systems, and integrate them into a scalable cloud environment, working closely with domain experts and stakeholders.

Qualificações

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent).
• Solid programming skills in .NET/C# or similar object‑oriented languages.
• Experience in software engineering and software architecture including API design, system design, testability, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with service-oriented or microservice architectures.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure and Kubernetes.
• Fluent in English, written and spoken.

• Continuously develop and maintain one of Vestas' core simulation tools used for site-specific load evaluation.
• Decompose, modularize, and enhance scientific computation systems and integrate into a scalable cloud environment.
• Develop well-structured, maintainable, and testable code with a focus on technical excellence.
