ITDS Portugal is seeking a Porto-based Mid-Level Application Support Engineer for a hybrid role with a client. The position focuses on maintaining Linux and Windows environments, automating tasks, and supporting databases and middleware to ensure system stability and performance.

Candidate should have at least 3 years in a similar role, strong scripting skills, experience with monitoring tools, and fluency in English and Portuguese.

Qualificações

• Minimum 3 years in systems administration or application support.
• Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows environments.
• Experience with scheduling tools like BMC/Control-M.
• Proficient in Shell, Python, and/or PowerShell scripting.
• Hands-on experience with SQL databases.
• Familiar with monitoring tools like Zabbix or Grafana.
• Basic networking knowledge and infrastructure awareness.
• Very good English (min B2) and Portuguese fluent.

Responsabilidades

• Monitor and support Linux and Windows environments.
• Automate tasks with Shell, Python, and PowerShell.
• Manage and troubleshoot databases (SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, Sybase) and SQL.
• Oversee backups and recovery procedures.
• Use Zabbix or Grafana to detect and resolve issues.
• Manage LDAP, Firewall, Reverse proxy, Active Directory, and Kerberos.
• Collaborate on container-based projects and scalable deployments.
• Support middleware like JBoss, Tomcat, Apache, and IIS.
